Utilization of CEM Data

Last June 21, 2017 the Guidance Counseling and Testing Department, in coordination with the Office of the Team Principal, invited representatives from CEM to give a lecture to learning facilitators on the utilization of CEM results to help improve learners’ academic performance.  The seminar was held at the St. Albert Auditorium.

 

The invited speaker was Ms. Cristina Corpuz who is a Client Relations Assistant of CEM. As part of the Client Relations Section, she is in charge of presenting CEM tests and services to individual schools as well as to school associations. She was assisted by Ms. Laarni Bundoc in presenting the results of the tests given to Angelicum College.

Understanding Depression

To give attention to the preparedness of the school to handle mental health issues among the youth the Guidance Counseling and Testing Department in coordination with the Office of the Team Principal sponsored a seminar entitled “Understanding Depression”.  This activity was included as part of the In-Service Training for Facilitators for the Academic Year 2017 – 2018.  This was held last June 28, 2017 at the St. Albert the Great Auditorium.

Mr. Fernando “Jhon” Carandang was invited as a resource speaker. He is the president of the EC Interventions and Management Solutions Inc. (Trainingph), a resident psychologist at Estrellas Nex Care Psychiatric Custodial Facility, a resident school psychologist at the Our Lady of Divine Grace School and a psychology professor at Trinity University of Asia. Jhon is also a licensed clinical psychologist and a practicing psychotherapist for children with special needs.

EQ in the Workplace 

As part of the In-Service Training of Learning Facilitators for the Academic Year 2017 – 2018, the Guidance Counseling and Testing Department in coordination with the office of the Team Principal, sponsored a seminar entitled “EQ in the Workplace”. This seminar aims to give emphasis on the importance of Emotional Intelligence and its effect on an employee’s productivity in the workplace.

Ms. Ann Joizelle Enverzo, the resource speaker, enlightened the learning facilitators on the topic. She is a licensed Guidance Counselor, Teacher, and Psychometrician.  She is presently the coordinator for the Career Development and Placement Program of the University of the East.
