One of the activities prepared by the Campus Ministry and the CLE Department this year was the  Marian Youth Vigil 2017, which was held at the St. Vincent Covered Court last October 6- 7, 2017 with the theme “Mary in the Hearts of the Youth Today”. Now on its third year, the overnight vigil brought  together the 122 youth volunteers of the BEC Youth Volunteers Group, Student Catholic Action, DOMNET Youth, and Altar Servers’ Group, and the children of the OFW, The Office of the Religious Affairs, and of the CLE Department for a night of reflection, joy, and bonding moments with their friends.

The activities provided by the facilitators such as the Rosary prayer, team building activities, and group sharing gave them a meaningful and joyful experience of praising and expressing their devotion to the Blessed Mother of God. The vigil became even more meaningful with the talk by Bro. Martius Lechuga that centered on the role of Mama Mary in the life of the youth today and the role of mothers to their children. The following morning, all the youth volunteers attended the La Naval Mass at 6:00 a.m. at Sto. Domingo Church, which was presided by Rev. Fr. Quirico Pedragosa, O. P.
