UST-AC Learners Participate in Career Week Celebration
The UST-Angelicum College Inc. held its annual Career Week celebration on January 8-12, 2018, with the theme “#careergoals: Make It Happen!.” The different activities were designed to increase the awareness of the different career fields among learners as well as to provide strategies and insight in preparation for career success.
On January 9-10, 2018, Mr. Serafin ‘Junn’ Geronimo of GuidanceNGO shared his expertise among YS 8 to YS 11 learners. The CPAG-goals seminar for YS 8 learners discussed the physical, emotional, and social requirements of higher education and how they can be of assistance to their parents/guardians in dealing with the projected expenses for higher education. The YS 9 learners underwent self-evaluation consistency test in the CPAG-Assessment seminar to heighten their self-awareness which has an important role in recognizing their career options.
In the CPAG-Paths intended for YS 10 learners, degree programs are presented depending on the career tracks related to them and the various options they may consider in Senior High School: Academic, Technical-Vocational and Livelihood, Sports, Arts and Design, and the General Education track. The CPAG-Choices seminar for YS 11 learners intended to prepare them for Senior High School by discussing its salient features and how their training from YS 8 to YS 10 can assist them in meeting the demands of Senior High School.
SHS 1 learners actively participated in the test-taking seminar on January 10, 2018 where Ms. Rossana Llenado of AHEAD was invited to share her expertise in the field.
On January 11, 2018, Ms. Sharee S. Mestosamente of Jobs180 provided tips on how to develop soft skills necessary for career preparation for SHS 2 learners. The event culminated with the Parade of Careers – Career dress-up contest from PK 1 – YS 1 level where learners showcased the proper attire of their favorite job. Likewise, the 4W4 – St. Simon won the “A Day at My Parent’s Work” Collage Making Contest for YS 4 learners. Jenna May Mendoza of 5W4-Bl. Mannes won the Poster Project Contest for YS 5 learners, while Hans Gabriel Uy of 6W4 – Bl. Hosanna of Mantua was declared winner in the Oratorical Contest for YS 6 learners and the 7W4 –Bl. Alphonsus Navarette won the Class Prophecy Career Collage Contest for YS 7 learners.
