PEP Rally. . . A Send-off Rally for the AC Athletes
On July 30, 2008 at 1:00 in the afternoon, Angelicum Sports with the initiative of Ms. Rowena Angeles, the PEHM Coordinator, conducted for the first time a PEP RALLY for the Angelicum athletes. The activity was held inside the St. Vincent Covered Court with the whole high school learners as audience. The high school learners were very supportive as their cheered for their classmates and friends during the parade. Junell Magsino, team captain of HS Boys Basketball Team led the invocation while Aiyani Mat’hana, team captain of Girls Basketball Team recited the Athlete’s Oath. The athletes were all inspired as they listened to the inspirational message of Rev. Fr. Rector Ferdinand L. Bautista, O.P. He reminded the athletes to practice the three core values of Angelicum – Charity, Justice, and Fortitude every time they compete outside school.
Coach Randy Alcantara of Boys Basketball Team, Elli Chua of Girls Basketball Team, Abner Eugenio of Girls Volleyball Team, Albert Nepomuceno of Boys Volleyball Team, Paul Chiu of Badminton, Philline Danabar of Table Tennis, and Jacqeline Alolor of Pep Squad cited their plans, expectations, and talked about how their team is doing this season. The coaches and athletes are really doing their tasks just to make sure that their team will have a good standing with their leagues. Shortly after the program, snacks followed at the Canteen 1. It was the time for the athletes and their coaches to bond with each other while eating and chatting together.
With the support of the school administration and the whole studentry, Angelicum athletes will surely do their best to bring home the bacon in every competition.
